The Fall Bosshardt Blitz: Gainesville’s Largest Open House Event

The Bosshardt Blitz is back! On September 28th, between 12-2 pm & 2:30-4:30 pm, Bosshardt Realty will have over 50 houses open to the public to tour in Alachua County, no Realtor needed. This is my favorite time of year. No, I’m not looking to move, but I’m always looking for new ways to update, renovate and decorate our home. This provides me with an opportunity to see real ideas that I can potentially use in my own home rather than looking in magazines full of unaffordable mcmansions decorated by interior designers.

Another great advantage to the blitz is having the ability to see several homes in a single day without feeling as though you’re bothering a Realtor to show five homes in one day. I have one friend in particular that would like to buy a home, but with her unconventional work schedule, it leaves very little time to try and coordinate with a Realtor and homeowner to schedule a time for a showing. The Bosshardt Blitz is a super casual way to see available real estate in the Alachua County area without having to book a formal showing.

It’s no secret that Gainesville is full of great real estate agents, but how do you select the one that is right for you? The Blitz provides a unique opportunity to meet and speak with an abundance of Realtors with diverse backgrounds. You can be selective and choose a Realtor that specializes in the type of real estate you’re looking for whether it is luxury home sales, foreclosures, new construction or commercial real estate. Bosshardt Realty provides a variety of professionals in each area to assure you’re getting the most experienced and qualified Realtor available.

Here are a few tips to help you make the most out of the Blitz. If you’re a serious buyer, make sure to take notes on the homes you’re more interested in. Once you leave, you may confuse multiple homes as to which one had the great bonus room or breathtaking water feature in the pool or which one was in walking distance to the University of Florida. You may also want to bring a measuring tape to make sure grandma’s heirloom dining room set or grandfather clock will fit appropriately. Be sure to write down dimensions, and if the Realtor allows, take a few pictures.

Be sure not to miss the Bosshardt Blitz, Gainesville, Florida’s largest open house event with neighborhoods including Haile Plantation, Longleaf and Weschester.
