As we move into the middle of the month, there are several family oriented events happening in our area. The Downtown Festival & Arts Show is always a great event for any age. Downtown Festival & Arts Show
Saturday, November 16th & Sunday, November 17th; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The nationally recognized Downtown Festival & Art Show transforms downtown Gainesville into a venue for award-winning artists. Presented by the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department, the festival celebrates its 32nd anniversary in 2013. For two days, visitors can leisurely stroll through historic downtown and marvel at works from more than 250 of the nation’s most talented artists, who display their original oils and acrylics, vibrant watercolors, captivating sculptures, dazzling jewelry, decorative ceramics and vivid photography. With such a diverse array of unique art displayed for sale and competition, the Downtown Festival & Art Show is a great way to purchase one-of-a-kind art for you or a friend.
The Little Run on the Prairie

Paynes Prairie State Park; $25.00
Join Alachua County 4-H in our first annual 5k run! The Little Run on the Prairie is a great way to enjoy the outdoor beauty of Paynes Prairie State Park, all the while supporting youth in Alachua County. Proceeds from the run will impact youth through 4-H Clubs, school enrichment programs, and summer camps. Prizes, snacks, T-shirt, and entry to the park are included.

Rev up your engines and turn up the tunes as Gator fans welcome classic cars, roaring Harleys and rockin’ music to downtown Gainesville! Get your Gator on! at United Downtown – A free street party brought to you by United Way of North Central Florida.
Straight No Chaser

A Tuna Christmas

Now in its 11th year at the Hipp, those hilarious characters from Tuna are back to fill your holidays with cheer. “A Tuna Christmas delivers a stocking full of laughs” (The Houston Chronicle). Season’s greetings from Tuna,Texas where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. Written by Ed Howard, Joe Sears, and Jaston Williams and directed by Lauren Caldwell. Kids get in free with a paying adult and donation of non-perishable food item or unwrapped new toy. Join us in raising 1000 lbs of donations this year!
