Twitter launched a video app called Vine a few weeks ago, and people are using it in all kinds of creative ways already. The app basically allows you to take 6-second videos and share them socially. It’s like Instagram for video, without the filters.
It’s not that often that I come across a product that’s well designed, functional and innovative. The Nest thermostat is one of those products, and I’ve been impressed with it since I saw it for the first time about a year ago.
OK, I know what you’re thinking. You’re probably thinking of the overly wallpapered rooms in a house you saw and hated a long time ago (or maybe not even that long ago). It was floral and dated and everywhere, right? Well not these wallpapers.
I’ve been seeing fiddle-leafed fig trees all over the place lately, and I’m kind of in love. They add a great pop of green in a room and the leaves have a large, graphic shape that creates a lot of visual interest.
We use apps on our phones, tablets and computers every day. We use them to inform, entertain, and to make our lives easier. And we’ve tried a lot of them. Some are awesome and some weren’t worth our time.
