Nila (pronounced Neela) Khurana has been involved in the Gainesville community for over 25 years. He excelled in the local schools both in sports and academically, and was awarded the valedictorian title at Santa Fe High School in 2003. He later went on to get a Finance degree from the University of Florida, while coaching in both soccer and tennis programs at UF & SFHS.
Born in Dallas, Nila has a mixed heritage of Indian, Italian and Irish descent. He has a large network of friends and family in Alachua County, and is very involved volunteering in local community functions.
Since graduating from UF in 2007, Nila has been actively involved in many aspects of real estate. He has managed his family’s portfolio of 100+ rentals locally, is familiar with property renovation and flips, obtained a mortgage broker’s license in 2010, and in 2018 obtained his real estate license to assist his wife Jahnava Rico after she gave birth to their first son Ishan.
In his free time Nila plays competitive racquetball and volleyball, and explores vegan food locally.
